Terms of service

1. Who we are
Gentle Journeys is run by Jenna Bradbury, trading as Gentle Journeys. We're not a limited company and we're not registered for VAT.
- Address: 13A Fore Street, Bovey Tracey, Newton Abbot TQ13 9AD, United Kingdom
- Email: info@gentle-journeys.co.uk
- Phone: 07759 672110
These terms cover buying from gentle-journeys.co.uk. Please read them with our Refund Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy.
2. Our products
We try hard to show every product as it really is. Colours can look slightly different on different screens.
Our Sunflower lanyard card is our own design. It isn't an official Hidden Disabilities Sunflower product, and we aren't part of the scheme. The official Sunflower lanyard that comes with it is free: we never sell the lanyard itself.
Our toys are for children aged 3 and over, and should be used with an adult nearby. Nothing on this website is medical advice. The Sunflower lanyard and our card don't guarantee any particular help or service from an airport, airline or anyone else.
3. Ordering
When you place an order, you're asking to buy the products in it. We'll email to confirm we've received it. The contract between us starts when we email to say your order has been dispatched. If we can't accept it (for example, an item has sold out or there's an obvious mistake in the price), we'll tell you and won't take payment, or will refund it in full.
Our products are for your own personal or family use, not for resale.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling. We aren't registered for VAT, so no VAT is added. The delivery cost is shown at checkout before you pay. You pay the price shown when you place your order.
If a price on the site is clearly wrong, we'll contact you before your order goes any further. You can then go ahead at the right price or cancel.
5. Delivery
We deliver to UK addresses only. Costs and the usual times are in our Shipping Policy.
Your order is our responsibility until it's delivered to you, or to someone you've asked us to leave it with. If it hasn't arrived within 30 days of your order, or by a date we agreed, you can cancel it and we'll refund you in full.
6. Changing your mind
You can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving it. You then have another 14 days to send it back. Our Refund Policy explains how, where to send it, and what we can't take back once it's opened (sealed sweets, for hygiene reasons).
7. If something is wrong
By law, everything we sell must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for its purpose. If it isn't, you have legal rights.
- Within 30 days of delivery, you can reject it for a full refund.
- After that, you can ask us to repair or replace it. If that doesn't work, you can have some or all of your money back.
If anything arrives damaged, faulty or not what you ordered, email us with a photo and we'll put it right, including the cost of sending it back. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. For more about them, see Citizens Advice.
8. Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms or don't take reasonable care, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We aren't responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable. Our products are for home and family use, so we aren't responsible for lost profit or business loss.
We never limit our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
9. Things outside our control
If something outside our control delays us (for example, severe weather or a courier strike), we'll let you know as soon as we can and do what we can to reduce the delay. If the delay is long, you can cancel and we'll refund you for anything you haven't received.
10. Our website and its content
The words, photos and designs on this site belong to us or to the people who let us use them. Please don't copy them for business use without asking. The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower belongs to Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Scheme Ltd.
If you leave a review, it must be your own honest experience. We may remove a review that's offensive, untrue about someone, or not about our products.
Our site links to other websites, like the Sunflower scheme's. We aren't responsible for what's on them.
11. Your information
Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep about you, why, and your rights over it.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order is the one that applies to that order.
13. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
14. Questions or a complaint
Email info@gentle-journeys.co.uk or call 07759 672110. We're a small team and we reply ourselves.
